Tomorrow I'm heading to Las Vegas for a friend's 30th birthday. There are lots of things we'll be doing to save money (for instance, the insanity of four women sharing one hotel room), mainly so we can save up and splurge on other things (that would be hitting the clubs on Saturday night). In my research, I've hit upon Cheapo Vegas, a pretty comprehensive site that rates everything in your hotel, including the rooms, pool, buffet, entertainment and whether they give you free drinks if you're on the penny slots.
It's also really hilarious, which is a nice change from all of the earnestly written review. For example, this is the review of the buffet in our hotel (btw, it gets a rating of two and a half sausage links):
It's safe to say that if I manage to get 2-1 coupons when I check in, I'm going to see what this half-wine, half-beer business is all about...The Buffet: Well, the name ain't much, but it's a large buffet. Not quite good, but edible food. It's also pretty pricey. If you're staying at the hotel, see if you can score some 2-for-1 coupons upon check-in. Also, the dinner buffet includes wine or beer, or do what we do and make a kamikaze of half-wine, half-beer.
